BETTY E. BRANN CARMEL – Betty E. Brann, 73, wife of the late Kenneth Brann, died Dec. 23, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 29, 1930, in Carmel, the daughter of Linwood and Alice (Emery) Hawes. Betty worked for SAD No. 23 in the food service department for more than 30 years prior to her retirement. She thoroughly enjoyed the school children and attended many of their graduations. Betty’s family was her life and meant everything to her. She is survived by two special daughters, Juanita and her husband, Dwaine Ross, of Carmel, Lorraine and her husband, Raymond Charloux Jr., of Detroit; one sister, Natalie and her husband, Robert Higgins, of Brewer; sister-in-law, Gloria Warner of Hermon; four grandchildren, Scott and his wife, Kelly Ross, of Levant, Shelly and her husband, Jay Leavitt, of Carmel, Alison Charloux and her fianc?, Glen Beane, of Orono, Raymond Charloux III of Hermon; four great-grandchildren, Amanda, and Daren Ross, both of Glenburn, Logan Ross of Levant, Cameron Leavitt of Carmel; several special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and one brother. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with their long time family friend, Rev. Elaine Tullis officiating. Friends may call from 2:30 p.m. until time of the service. Spring interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Carmel.
