HANCOCK – Betty Elaine Sprague, 42, died Dec. 29, 2006, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 28, 1964, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Nancy Lounder and granddaughter of the late Harry and Lessie Lounder of Hancock. Betty graduated in 1982 from Sumner Memorial High School. She enjoyed many years working at Bar Harbor Banking and Trust, in the trust department, Ellsworth. Betty loved gardening and cooking for her family and friends. Betty is survived by the love of her life, her twin boys, Brandon Sprague and Ryan Sprague of Hancock; three special aunts, Gertrude Haskins and Edith Lounder, both of Hancock, Pamela and her husband, Babe Crowley, of Corea; her mother, Nancy Wright and her husband, Eddie, of Linthincum, Md.; two brothers and their wives, Timm and his wife, Terri, of Newark, Del., Donald and his wife, Laura, of Jacobus, Pa.; niece, Caroline; nephew, Logan; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to numerous to count. The family wishes to thank all the nurses and doctors of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital and CancerCare of Maine. A visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Jan. 1, 2007, at Bragdon-Kelley-Camp-bell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth. Funeral services 11 a.m. Jan. 2, at Maine Coast Baptist Church, 867 Bangor Road, Ellsworth, with the Pastor Gary Dill officiating. Burial will be immediately after in the family lot at Riverside Cemetery, Hancock.
