MILLINOCKET – Beulah N. Preble, 93, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at a Millinocket health care facility. She was born Dec. 30, 1914, in Kingman, a daughter of Orin and Anna (Briggs) Nelson. Beulah attended First Congregational Church of Millinocket. She was known in the area for her painting talents and shared her talents as a painting instructor, privately and at Stearns High School. Beulah is survived by two sons, Paul Brooks and his wife, Gail, and Alan Brooks, all of Millinocket; three granddaughters, Kathy Brooks of Biddeford, Lisa Riddell and her husband, Doug, of New Gloucester and Danielle O’Mahony and her husband, Dave, of Palmetto, Fla.; three great-grandsons, Paul and Zac Riddell, and Christopher O’Mahony; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Beulah was predeceased by her first husband, Hector Brooks; her second husband, Carl Preble; and her siblings, Cecil Nelson, Orin Nelson, Ralph Nelson, Rita Merry, Eva Legasy and Masha Fitzpatrick. Friends are invited to visit with the family 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with funeral services beginning 11 a.m. with the Rev.
