EDDINGTON – Beverly Ray Gary, 78, wife of the late Luther I. Gary Jr., of 53 years, died Feb. 24, 2004, at the home of her daughter, Bonny. She was born in Bangor, June 21, 1925, the daughter of Earl Arthur and Hattie Bell (Ogden) Lewis. Beverly was a graduate of Bangor High School, a member of the East Orrington Congregational Church, Maine State Button and Maine Audubon Societies. Surviving are three children, Brent L. Gary and his wife, Gail, of Bangor, Bonny B. Black and her husband, James, of Eddington, Scott L. Gary and his wife, Beth, of Wellsville, Utah; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine. A gathering for the family only to celebrate the life of Beverly will be held at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, at a later date.
