ORRINGTON – Billy F. Orcutt, 61, died Dec. 2, 2004, due to several complications that led to his passing. He was born in Dixmont, the son of Clinton and Elsie Orcutt. Billy lived in Orrington from the time he married Judy in 1962 until his passing. He will be remembered most for his love of country and bluegrass music, always pickin’ on his acoustic guitar, and singing and entertaining for the elderly anywhere they wanted him to play. He was committed to everything he did. He was a well-respected member of the community and will be sadly missed. In addition to his beloved wife, Billy is also survived by their children, Rhonda and her husband, Butch, and Michael and his wife, Tapitha. He also leaves behind three grandsons, Ryan, Damien, and Brazen; two brothers, Ronald and Richard; two sisters, Sylvia and Roseline; and a large extended family. In addition to his parents, Billy was predeceased by three brothers, Clair, Clinton Jr., and Frances. At Billy’s request, no funeral will be held. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Marston Cemetery on Snows Corner Road, Orrington with the Pastor Adam Soderberg officiating. Family and friends will hold a memorial benefit on Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Edward Arey Community Center on the River Road, Bucksport. A second benefit will be held Sunday, Jan. 8, 2005, at Rocky Knoll Country Club on the River Road, Orrington. All are invited to attend to hear his favorite music.
