LAMBERT LAKE – Blaine A. Grass, 68, husband of the late Rose (Perry) Grass, died July 4, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 13, 1937, in Danforth, the son of Clyde and Winnifred (Harvey) Grass. Blaine was a U.S. Navy veteran. He loved his family and his many friends, was a hard worker, and was always ready to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He loved to fish, go fiddleheading, raspberrying, white perching, smelting, and loved his garden and canning vegetables. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his mother of Hudson, he is survived by five children, Leanne Beaudoin of Chichester, N.H., Laurie Coulter of Northfield, N.H., Lisa Grass of Bangor, Richard Grass of Lee, N.H., and Linda Bachand of Douglas, Mass.; three brothers, Harvey of Maryland, Douglas of Hudson, and Martin of Lambert Lake; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call 3-6 p.m. Thursday at his home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at his home. Interment will be in Vanceboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, take a kid fishing.
