BAR HARBOR – Blaine “Bubba” Thomas Alley, 17, died Aug. 10, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1987, in Bar Harbor, the son of Peter Edward and Holly Lee (Colson) Alley. Blaine was an incoming senior at MDI High School and was looking forward to the carpentry program, “Building & Trades”, at The Boggy Brook Vocational School. He had worked at Graves Shop n’ Save and with his father at the Emerson/Connors School, both in Bar Harbor. Blaine enjoyed playing the drums and had been in the Emerson Jr. High School Jazz Band. He was a true friend, who touched many lives. He is survived by his parents, Peter and Holly Alley; his brother, Bryce E. Alley; his sister, Mary E. Alley, all of Bar Harbor; fraternal grandmother, Mary-Lou “Nanny Lou” Alley of Bar Harbor; grandfather, Charles W. Alley Sr. of Bar Harbor; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Sharon Colson Jr. of Town Hill; uncles and aunts, Chuck Alley and wife, Denise, of Otter Creek, Tim Alley and wife, Ann Calbi, of Ruckersville, Va., Bobby Colson and Anita Colson of Sullivan and Ralph Colson III and partner, Donna Hatch of Otter Creek; cousins, Lindsey, Trevor and Jesse Alley, Tony and Katie Alley, Taegan, Ryan and Ralph Colson IV, Robert Colson; and many other special family members. Blaine was predeceased by great-grandparents, Irene “GG” and Jack Fitch, Charlotte M. and Bill Barker and Lucy and Ralph Colson Sr. Friends are invited to call 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, at St. Saviour’s Episcopal Church, 41 Mount Desert St., Bar Harbor, with Fr. Jonathan Appleyard officiating.
