BLANCHE A. THIBODEAU SANFORD – Blanche A. Thibodeau, 96, of Sanford, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at the Sanford Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Thibodeau was born on April 19, 1907, in Winn, she was the daughter of Ira and Katherine Bulmer Bartlett. At a young age she moved to the Sanford area and began to raise a large family with her husband. Mrs. Thibodeau was a stay at home mother raising a family of 10 children. She was a true country cook, and was said to have baked some of the best biscuits and berry pies. She enjoyed camping, fishing and going to their camp in Millinocket. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ned C. Thibodeau; and their sons, Lloyd Thibodeau Sr. and Richard Thibodeau. Surviving are three sons, Lawrence Thibodeau of Sanford, David Thibodeau of Colchester, Vt., Louis Thibodeau of Sanford; five daughters, Vera Hawkins of Port Jervis, N.Y., Mavis Morgan of Springvale, Donna Morgan of Sanford, Kathryn Gauthier of Sanford, Sharon Libby of Sanford; 34 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Visiting hours for Mrs. Thibodeau will be held on 12-2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, followed by a funeral service, with the Rev. Dennis Reeves officiating.
