MADAWASKA – Blanche Blanchette, 77, died unexpectedly Dec. 20, 2004, at her residence in Madawaska. She was born Sept. 8, 1927, in St. Hilaire, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Joseph and Lazine (Pelletier) Marquis. She is survived by her husband, Rosaire Blanchette of Madawaska; five sons, Robert and his wife, Kim of Brooklyn, N.Y., Dennis of Yarmouth, Don and his wife, Irene, Charles and his wife, Tracy and Peter and his wife, Shelley, all of Madawaska; three daughters, Rachel Walsh of Waterville, Monique Danie and her husband, Dale, of Madawaska, Michelle Haseltine and her husband, David, of Pownal; three brothers, Yvon Marquis of Lawrence, Mass., Lucien Marquis of Waltham, Mass., Alcide Marquis of Edmundston, N.B.; one sister, Rachel Voisine of St. Basile, N.B.; 13 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Roderick L’Italien. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 1 p.m. until time of services on Thursday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
