PRESQUE ISLE – Blanche P. Browne, 80, wife of the late Robert E. Browne Sr., died Sept. 2, 2005, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. She was born in Canada, Nov. 4, 1924, the daughter of Ferd and Hazel (Moorehouse) McIntyre. Blanche was employed at Graves Shop and Save as the deli manager for many years and later for Food Trend. She was a past member of the Hayward-Frazier Post No. 2599 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by three sons, Paul E. Browne of Boise City, La., Robert E. Browne Jr., of Yalesville, Conn., and Richard E. Browne of Waterbury, Conn.; three daughters, Roberta Cyr and Nancy Fletcher, both of Presque Isle, Ann Webber of Thornton, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold McIntyre of Wyoming, Albert McIntyre and Reginald McIntyre, both of Presque Isle; four sisters, Pauline Willette, Marie Bates and Thelma Parks all of Presque Isle and Charlotte Lowe of Frost Proof, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two daughters, Gloria McIntyre and Dianne McIntyre; a brother, Eddie McIntyre; and a sister, Marilyn Wallace. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Relatives and friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Marshall Cemetery, Westfield. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the Alzheimers Association Maine Chapter, 163 Lancaster St., Suite 160 B, Portland, ME 04101-2406.
