AUGUSTA – Brenda Adams Yeaton, a 1967 graduate of Cony High School, passed away after enduring another valiant battle with cancer, Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005 at her home. “Bren” as we all knew her, was born Oct. 6, 1949, in an Army Hospital in Munich Germany, the daughter of David and Janet (Wieser) Adams. She grew up in East Aurora, N.Y., before moving to Augusta in 1960. She was an LPN for many years and loved her work with newborn babies and later family practice offices. Another life experience included time as a private chef for a Maine summer resident, with homes in New York City and Florida. She also spent time working as a nurse in Chicago. Brenda was predeceased by her parents, David and Jan Adams. She is survived by her son, G. Andrew Yeaton and his wife, Pam, and his four children of Farmington; sisters, Bonnie Adams Randall and her husband, Bob, of Brewer and Marcia Adams, of Palm City, Fla.; a brother, Donald J. Adams and his wife, Betty, of Fairfield; two nieces and four nephews. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday Feb. 20, at Penney Memorial United Baptist Church, Grove Street in Augusta. Private interment will be at a later date in North Whitefield at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1896, Bangor, ME 04402. Bren was very fond of their Oldtown Relay for Life walks and proudly attended many of the annual Relays as a survivor.
