BLUE HILL – Stanley F. Hooper, 78, died Feb. 20, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Feb. 3, 1927, in Blue Hill, the son of Ira and Kathryn (Butler) Hooper. He worked for 371/2 years at the Champion Paper Mill in Bucksport. The love of his life was his family, his fishing boat and lobstering. Stanley was a member of the Blue Hill Congregational UCC Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doris; daughters, Kathy Sylvia and husband, Bill, of Plymouth, Mass., Jane Ober and husband, Floyd, of Trenton; sons, Stanley D. and wife, Nancy Hooper, of Blue Hill, Allen L. and wife, Sherrie Hooper, of Windham; and six grandchildren. A spring graveside service will be held at Mount View Cemetery, Blue Hill. Contributions in Stanley’s memory may be made to the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 823, Blue Hill, ME 04614.
