SORRENTO and MONTPELIER, Vt. – Brenda Marie High Audet, 37, died unexpectedly Aug. 12, 2004, at her home in Montpelier, Vt. She was born March 6, 1967, in Stoneham, Mass., the daughter of the late Harvey W. High and Judith M. High. Brenda attended Mountain View School and graduated from Sumner Memorial High with the Class of 1986. She worked at the Crocker House and the Cardinal Restaurant many summers before moving to Vermont. There she met and married Michael Audet. They spent many happy hours together fishing and hunting wild turkeys. She worked at the Berlin Rehabilitation Center where she had many friends and co-workers who loved her for just being herself. She enjoyed cooking, yard sales, spending time with her friends and was a great fan of General Hospital. She was affectionately called ‘Buzz’ and ‘Broomie’ by her friends. She is survived by her husband, Michael of Montpelier; her mother, Judith High of Sorrento; brothers, Edmond and Michael and his wife, Jody, of Massachusetts, John and his wife, Hope, of Sorrento; sisters, Patricia Urquhart and her husband, Ross, of Derry, N.H. and Pamela of Sorrento; her grandfather, Earl Schwenk of Boyertown, Pa.; her in-laws include mother-in-law, Doris Audet, Melody Hudock and husband, Bill, Eugene Audet, Joanne Deckette, Debbie Psald and husband, Arnie, Rose Audet and companion, Kip Hatch, Cheryl Jarvis, Steve Audet and Mary Bell and husband, John and stepdaughter, Katrina Audet of Vermont. Also sharing in this devastating loss are her close and dear friends, Suzanne and Mike McNeil of Sullivan, Ken Cowperthwaite of Gouldsboro, Kelly Young of Connecticut, and Tim Guyette, and Lenny Welch of Sorrento. She also leaves her Godchild, Amanda McNeil of Sullivan, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, co-workers and life long friends. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth. Following the service friends are invited to gather at the Sorrento Community Building for refreshments and sharing of memories of our precious daughter, wife, sister and friend.
