BELFAST – Harold W. Bailey, 43, of Bangor, died Saturday, Aug. 14, at a local healthcare facility in Bangor. Born in Gardiner, he was the son of Everard A. and Elaine Annas Bailey Jr. Harold graduated from Bangor High School in 1979. From 1979 to 1981 he was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division in the Army. His wife was Janice Hening, whom he married in 1979, and divorced in 1996. Harold lived in Texas, Ohio and Michigan as well as Bangor. He was a self-employed mechanic, but his passion was writing. Harold was predeceased by his father, Everard Bailey Jr., in 1999. He is survived by his mother, Elaine Bailey, of Bangor; two brothers, Fred E. Bailey and his wife, Karen, and Robert O. Bailey, both of Bangor; one sister, Barbara Bradshaw Esq. and her husband, Theodore Bradshaw PhD., of Durham, N.H.; one niece, Erika Bailey of Bangor. Graveside services will be 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at Grove Cemetery in Belfast, with Robert Bailey officiating. Donations preferred to the Salvation Army, 595 Broadway, Bangor, ME 04401.
