SCARBOROUGH – Bridget Faye Boyle died peacefully on April 24, 2004, with her twin sister, Gail, at her side. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bridget Faye was born Sept. 21, 1942, in Prince Edward Island, Canada. She moved with her family to Monroe in 1955. She graduated from Morse Memorial High School in Brooks in 1960, where she was a good student, friend and athlete. She resided in Brooks for a few years after high school and worked in Belfast. She became a licensed practical nurse in 1965, after graduating from St. Joseph’s Nursing Program in Bangor. In 1970, she became a registered nurse after graduating from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Portland. She spent her nursing career as a dedicated nurse in the Portland area, although her heart remained in Brooks. She was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia; and her two brothers, Harold Wilfred and Albert Martin Boyle. She is survived by her twin sister, Gail Thibeau and husband, Peter, of 23 Pond Edge Drive, Waterford, Conn.; and a sister, Marina Boyle of Ontario, Canada. She is also survived by her godchild, Kimberly Thibeau; and nephew, Gregory Thibeau, both of Waterford, Conn., and their families. Visiting hours will be held 12-1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. Interment of her ashes will be at a later date at the Harmony Place Cemetery in Monroe.
