MAPLETON – Bryan C. Cyr, 53, died late Saturday night, Sept. 8, 2007, at a Bangor hospital, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born Jan. 9, 1954, in Presque Isle, the son of Russell and Shirley (Smith) Cyr. Bryan worked as an anesthesia technician for 30 years at The Aroostook Medical Center and recently retired. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Jan, and deeply enjoyed time spent with his family, friends and his dogs, Joey and Spike. He was an avid motor enthusiast and enjoyed cooking. Bryan is survived by his parents of Presque Isle; a brother, Steven Cyr and his wife, JC, of Castine; a sister, Patricia Hutchings and her husband, Todd, of Presque Isle; a nephew, Vaughn Hutch-ings of Presque Isle; a niece, Jennifer Bryce of Bangor; mother-in-law, Reta Haley of Caribou; two brothers-in-law, John Haley and his friend, Kim Esquibel, and Jim Haley, all of Caribou; aunts and several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Janice, in 2005. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Green Ridge Cemetery, Caribou, with the Rev. Robert Smith officiating.
