WESTBROOK – Bryce A. Morgan, 70, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, following a long illness. He was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Sherman, a son of Lyle H. and Marjorie I. (Glidden) Morgan. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1951. Mr. Morgan served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 1st Class. On Jan. 6, 1979, he married Irene M. Breen. From 1958-1979, he worked for the Portland Police Department and from 1979-1998, he worked for the University of Southern Maine Police Department, retiring as a sergeant from both departments. He was a member of the Molunkus Masonic Lodge No. 165 in Sherman, Kora Temple Shrine and the Paul Malia Post No. 161 of the American Legion. He was predeceased by his father, Lyle H. Morgan. Surviving are his mother, Marjorie Morgan; his wife of 25 years, Irene M. Morgan of Westbrook; seven children, Susan L. Pierce and her husband, Michael, of Falmouth, Lori L. Rulman and her husband, James, of Westbrook, Cheryl A. Wilbur and her husband, Mark, of Windham, Steven L. Morgan and his wife, Rose, of Orlando, Fla., Brent A. Morgan and his wife, Linda, of Westbrook, Karen E. Smith and her husband, Dale, of Gorham and Fred Andrews of Portland; one sister, Janet E. Shields and her husband, David, of Hiram; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff at Springbrook Center for Health-care and Rehabilitation for all their care and support through-out Bryce’s stay. Visiting hours were held from 4-8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial was at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
