PROSPECT HARBOR – Burniece Sistrunk of Prospect Harbor passed to the next phase of her life journey expectedly after a prolonged illness Monday, Oct. 31, 2005. She was born Nov. 12, 1926, in Jefferson, N.H. to Margaret and Edgar Perry and called Prospect Harbor home since 1967. Before settling in Maine, she traveled the world as the wife of a Naval officer. She was a member of Gold Star Wives of America and her education was ongoing as a spiritual world traveler. She will be met by her husband, Allred Sistrunk Jr.; and son, James Keoni Sistrunk; and her sisters, June Young and Francis Colonna who predeceased her. Burniece is survived by daughters, Glenna Boyette and husband, Lon, Gulfport, Fla., and Ronda Saul, Prospect Harbor; grandsons, Kevin McConaghy and wife, Glenda, High Springs, Fla., Travis Saul and wife, Sandy, Machias, Evan Saul, Hollywood, Md.; and granddaughters, Angela Niquette and husband, Ron, St. Petersburg, Fla. and Kimberly Coddington and husband, Kevin, Oldsmar, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Melissa and James Burnham, High Springs, Fla., Nichole Meyenberg, St. Petersburg, Fla., Kevin II and Danielle Coddington, Oldsmar, Fla., Brittany and Todd Niquette, St. Petersburg, Fla. Jacob Saul, Prince Frederick, Md., and Brittony Wood, Machias; brothers, Bud Perry and his wife, Doris, and James Perry and his wife, Barbara, are also among those who will miss her. Also missing her will be her “pride,” Misty, Molly, Sam, Taffy and Schatzie Louise, the lights of her life in recent years. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life between the hours of 2-6 p.m. Nov. 10, at her home.
