BROWNVILLE JCT. and BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Chester Leroy Russell, 90, husband of the late Geneva May (Swazey) Russell, died Oct. 30, 2004, in Brooksville, Fla. He was born July 5, 1914, in Oakfield, the son of Millard and Izetta (Hughes) Russell. He had been employed by the Canadian Pacific Railroad as an engineer. He was a 60 year member of the Pleasant River Lodge No. 163 AF & AM, a member of the Brownville Snowmobile Club, OES in Brownville, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Fireman and Engineers. He served for many years on the administrative board of the Brownville Jct. United Methodist Church. Roy was an avid fisherman, hunter, guidesman, and trapper. He especially enjoyed snowsledding, and in his later years, summering at Schoodic Lake in Lakeview. He is survived by three daughters, Loretta and her husband, Anthony Skwara, of Brooksville, Fla., Sheila and her husband, Dr. Jeremiah Kelley, of Marian, S.C., and Linda and her husband, Ronald Thomas, of Brooksville, Fla.; a brother, Gordon Russell of Milo; three sisters, Goldie Harnish of Franklin, N.C., Cora Orff of San Antonio, Texas, Florace Fournier of Orlando, Fla.; six grandchildren; five great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Alan Ross Skwara. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo, with Masonic services said at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo, with the Rev. Michelle St. Cyr officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Pinetree Cemetery.
