BANGOR – C. Waldron Curtis Sr., 76, passed away March 13, 2007, surrounded by his loving family, at home. He was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Bangor, the son of Ralph and Berdie (Sibley) Curtis. Waldron graduated from Lee Academy in 1949, and he co-owned and operated Ralph E. Curtis and Son Trucking for more than 25 years. Waldron was self-employed in a logging operation for 10 years, and worked driving truck for various local trucking companies including Hughes Bros. from 1989-2004, at the time of his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marilyn W. Curtis of Bangor; a daughter, Wanda Monroe and her husband, Daniel, of Bangor; a son, Charles “Wally” Curtis Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Holden; and three grandchildren, Joshua and Cameron Monroe of Bangor, and Cody Ware of Holden. Waldron’s family thanks his caregivers during his illness, Cindy at Stillwater Heath Care; Sandy, Karen and Michelle from Premier Home Health; and Cindy from Hospice of Eastern Maine. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday, March 16, with Pastor Dennis Harvey, associate pastor of Calvary Chapel of Orrington. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the service at the Brooking-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
