LINCOLN – Calvin Moore, 88, husband of the late Faye Moore, died Feb. 20, 2004, at a Howland healthcare facility. He was born Aug. 10, 1915, in Grand Falls Plt., the son of Roscoe Moore Sr. and Yensie (Harriman) Moore. In his early years, Calvin was a Maine guide. He married Faye Mitchell in 1945, and moved to Lincoln. He did carpentry work for many years. Later he got his master plumber license and was plumber inspector for many towns and plantations. He loved building canoes with his brother, Atwood. He built many midget canoes. He loved the old homestead in Grand Falls where he was born and the woods, lakes, brooks and streams surrounding it. He was a 50-year Master Mason. He is survived by four brothers, Irvin and his wife, Marguerite, of Carmel, Atwood, his brother, friend and caregiver of the past few years of Lincoln, Lawrence of Orono, and Roscoe Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Lincoln; one sister, Gertrude Gaudette of Bangor; 15 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by four sisters, Lila Whitten, Annie Emery, Lucille Rich and Grace Moore. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Spring interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Lincoln Lakes Region Dialysis Center Fund. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
