PRESQUE ISLE- Milford C. Berube, 60, died unexpectedly Feb. 19, 2004. He was born April 4, 1943, in Eagle Lake, the son of Paul and Caroline (Tardie) Berube. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1961, and did his basic training for the Air Force. Mr. Berube had been employed as a parts manager at Eastern Auto Supply for 20 years and had various other jobs. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle, and a member of the Ray Goding Post No. 88, American Legion. He enjoyed life, and loved spending time with grandchildren, family and friends, telling stories, playing cards and bingo. Surviving are his wife, Linda (Deprey) Berube of Presque Isle; daughter, Shelley Michaud and her husband, Mike, and their daughters, Katelyn and Kellsey Michaud; son, Tyler Berube and his wife, Jennifer, and their son, Tanner Berube and a baby girl on the way; stepgrandson, Chance Doak; a brother, Percy Berube and his friend, Lucy Dubay; sisters, Geri Lefrancois and her husband, Dick, Diane Plummer and her husband, Frank, Linda Pilsbury and her husband, Terry, Gloria Legassie and her husband, Herman. He also leaves in-laws that he dearly loved, Cecilla and Willis Staidg, Herman and Rena Deprey, Deanna and Frank Charette, Patsy and Gerald Desjadins, Priscilla and Reynold Daigle, Roger Dunn, Stan and Emily Dubay; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that he adored. He will be remembered by many friends at bingo in Caribou, and many card playing cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard John Berube; two sisters, Jeanette DuBay and Pauline Ireland; and special in-laws, Mack and Blanche Deprey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Chanel Cyr celebrant. Relatives and friends may call from 8 a.m. Monday until time of service at the church. Spring interment will be in Soldier Pond. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in his memory to the charity of their choice. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle.
