MAPLETON – Captolia I. (Boyles) Watt, 90, passed away peacefully Oct. 9, 2006, at a Caribou health care facility. She was born Feb. 1, 1916, at Eagle Lake, one of eight children and the daughter of William and Bertha (Richardson) Boyles. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Mapleton. Captolia was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Leland Watt in October 2000; and two sons, Robert William in 1943 and Lewis Alton in 1980. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Brenaman of Chapman; a son, Albert and his wife, LouAnn, of Cross Lake; a sister, Bertha Skidgell of Mapleton; a brother, Arthur Boyles of Castle Hill; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grand-children and many dear nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at the funeral home with the Rev. Dorothy Matson officiating. Interment will be at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in her memory to the United Methodist Church of Mapleton, P.O. Box 208, Mapleton, ME 04757 or to the Arthritis Foundation Northern New England Chapter Office, 257 South Union St., Burlington, VT 05401. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff and administration of the Caribou Nursing Home for their care and compassion during mother’s illness.
