BUCKSPORT – Carl L. Coleman, 44, died unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, in Bucksport. He was born Oct. 6, 1963, in Bangor, the son of Daniel R. and Bertha L. (Clement) Coleman. Carl was educated in Bucksport schools and graduated from Bucksport High School in 1981. He was an avid outdoors-man, who enjoyed boating, fishing, four wheeling, hunting and snowmobiling. He enjoyed spending time in moose country. Carl was a hard working, motivated man; he was employed for 20 years with Verso Paper Co., where he was working at the time of his death, and he also owned and operated Coleman Brothers Waste Service, Bucksport, since 1999. He is survived by his parents of Bucksport; his loving children, Jonathan R. Coleman, Kristine A. Coleman and Tyler M. Coleman, all of Bucksport; two brothers, Nathaniel L. Coleman of Bucksport and Daniel R. Coleman II of Louisiana; two sisters, Donna Stimpson and her husband, Clayton, of Belfast and Elizabeth Feero and her husband, Herbert, of Florida. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many friends; and his faithful canine companion, Thompson. Carl was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Laura Clement; one aunt, Winona Seekins; one uncle, Bradley Astbury; one cousin, Scott Clement and Cola. Family and friends will gather for visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Mit-chell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Evangel Baptist Church, 18 Central St., Bucksport, with Pastor Michael Donato officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carl’s memory may be made to Bertha Coleman, 10 Coleman Lane, Bucksport, ME 04416, for a trust to be established at a later date in Carl’s memory.
