MILFORD – Carl N. Boyington, 83, died as a result of an accident July 4, 2005. He was born Oct. 20, 1921, in Milford, the son of Arthur R. and Nettie E. (Grant) Boyington. Carl loved life and lived every day to the fullest thanking God for all his blessings. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Phyllis, for almost 60 years. He ran Columbia Linen and then Boyington and Son the last few years. He enjoyed hauling loam from his own pit doing business as Milford Loam. He grew up in Milford, raised his family in Bangor and then returned to the home he was born in, living there until his death. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Jordan) Boyington of Milford; one daughter, Carla (Boyington) Soucie of Milford; four grandchildren, Amy, Marcy, Nathan, and Samantha; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Boyington of Nashville, Tenn., Raymond Boyington of Milford; four sisters, Donna Rustin of Milford, Virginia Tibbets of Farmington Falls, Goldie Arsenault of Hartford, Conn., Lettie Moulton of Pea Cove; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Craig Boyington; a daughter, Nancy Runnells; four brothers, Robert, Donald, Maurice, and Ernest; and a sister, Frances. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday July 8, at Brookings-Smith, Old Town Chapel, 228 North Main St., Old Town, with the Rev. Bruce Stevens, pastor of the United Baptist Church of Old Town, officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
