SKOWHEGAN and DEXTER Carmelita M. Dickison, 62, died March 22, 2008, at a Waterville hospital. She was born July 1, 1945, in Dexter, a daughter of Reuben and Beatrice (Richards) Call. She received an associate’s degree from the University of Maine and retired as librarian at the Dexter primary-middle schools. Carmie was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Skowhegan. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Douglas Dickison of Skowhegan; two sons, Stewart of Skowhegan, and Reuben and wife, Angel, of Corning, N.Y.; a daughter, Melisa T. Knight of Skowhegan; two sisters, Lois Burtt of Dexter and Betty Butler of Corinna; 10 grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews and her church family. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter, and 6 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service at Centenary United Methodist Church, Dr. Mann Road, Skowhegan. A service celebrating the life of Carmie will be held 7 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at the church with the Rev. George Hodgkins officiating. A reception will be held after the service at the church.
