SKOWHEGAN and DEXTER Carmelita M. Dickison, 62, died March 22, 2008, at a Waterville hospital. She was born July 1, 1945, in Dexter, a daughter of Reuben and Beatrice (Richards) Call. She received an associate’s degree from the University of Maine and retired as librarian at the Dexter primary-middle schools. Carmie was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Skowhegan. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Douglas Dickison of Skowhegan; two sons, Stewart of Skowhegan, and Reuben and wife, Angel, of Corning, N.Y.; a daughter, Melisa T. Knight of Skowhegan; two sisters, Lois Burtt of Dexter and Betty Butler of Corinna; 10 grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews and her church family. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter, and 6 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service at Centenary United Methodist Church, Dr. Mann Road, Skowhegan. A service celebrating the life of Carmie will be held 7 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at the church with the Rev. George Hodgkins officiating. A reception will be held after the service at the church. Spring burial will be at Corinna Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
