PRESQUE ISLE – Carol Ann Vernall, 53, died Oct. 1, 2003, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born July 25, 1950, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Hayward and Marion Clara (Perley) Cray. She was proud to be a Native American with the Maliseet tribe. Carol had been employed at Burrells in Presque Isle and loved working at the Northern Maine Fair. She loved chatting online, her cats, fishing, and enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Terry Vernall, of Presque Isle; four daughters, Julie Tompkins, and her fianc‚, Philip Palmieri, of Presque Isle, Diana Boutot and her husband, Curt, of Nashville Plantation, Sherri Kern and her husband Walter, of Caribou, Shelley Palarge and her husband, Marius, of Easton; step-daughter, Amanda Vernall, of Washburn; a sister, Debbie Cyr and her husband, Randall, of Presque Isle; her grandchildren, Mindy, Todd Jr, Josh, Derrik, Dylan, Macie, Ethan and Klairissa; several nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Marion Wortman of Fort Fairfield. She will be remembered by lifetime best friends, Cheryl Miller of Presque Isle and Geraldine Beckwith of Washburn. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Alfred Irving celebrant.
