TUFTONBORO, N.H., and CASTINE – Caroline S. Badgley, longtime resident of Castine, died July 4, 2007, at Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, N.H. Carol was born May 1, 1917, in Pittsburgh. She was married to the late H. Foster Badgley. They moved to Castine upon Foster’s retirement from the Prudential Insurance Co., in 1971. Carol was a member of the Trinitarian Church, Castine Golf Club and owner of Wind Mill Hill Antiques. She is survived by her sister, Ann Hedges of Moorestown, N.H., and Falmouth, Mass.; her daughter, Suzanne Martin of Tuftonboro, N.H.; her four children, Leigh Pfosi, Dave Hope, Michael Hope and Beth Dales; her son, Tom Badgley of Francestown, N.H., and his son, Todd Badgley; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Trinitarian Church, Castine. Donations may be made in Carol’s memory to the Trinitarian Church, P.O. Box 108, Castine, ME 04421.
