BROOKLIN – Carolyn G. Cousins, 78, wife of the late Robert B. Cousins, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 10, 2004, at a Bangor health facility with her family by her side. She was born April 6, 1926, in Brooklin, the daughter of Edwin and Phoebe (Howard) Carter. She was the youngest of 16 children. Carolyn is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Linda (Cousins) Cole and Robert Sr. of Brooklin, Karen (Cousins) Cole and Lewis (Skip) of Winterport, Carol (Cousins) Carter and Lloyd (Skip) of Sedgwick; eight grandchildren, Laura Nute and husband, Eric of Winterport, Angela Lizzotte and husband, Steve of Bangor, Robert Cole Jr. and wife, Sarah, Irene Cole, Lori Cole, all of Brooklin, William Cole and wife, Angela, of Penobscot, John Carter of Sedgwick and Eric Carter and wife, Cory of Frankfort. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, Libby Nute of Winterport, Jacob, Dylan, Mason Cole of Brooklin, Ethan Cole of Penobscot, Dominique Hoffman of California, Khelmani Peasley of Surry and Joshua Carter of Frankfort. She is survived by one brother, Malcolm Carter and wife, Wahneeta of Sedgwick; and sister, Evelyn Birkman of Iowa. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at Rural Cemetery in Sedgwick, with the Rev. Steve Nute officiating.
