SOUTHWEST HARBOR Carolyn S. Daigle, 74, died Feb. 24, 2007, in Bangor. She was born May 14, 1932, in Frenchboro, the daughter of Alexander P. and Valeria M. (Lunt) Davis. She was a wonderful mother and enjoyed gardening and clamming. She was an avid Red Sox and Celtic’s fan. Carolyn and her husband had a very successful plumbing business in the Southwest Harbor area. Carolyn’s joy was her extended family at the Village Green Apartments, which she cherished. She is survived by two sons, Erland “Tyke” Seavey and his wife, Heidi and their children, Sarah and Melissa, all of Norton, Mass., and Michael Daigle of Bar Harbor; four stepchildren, Richard Daigle and wife, Jane, and Robert Daigle, all of Tremont, Philip Daigle and wife, Lisa, of Hampton, N.H., and Thomas Daigle of Virginia; three sisters, Vivian and Lillian Lunt of Ellsworth and Rosetta Seavey of Southwest Harbor; several nieces, nephews and cousins; with special mention of Hilda Newman of Southwest Harbor and Glennis Carter of Beach Hill Road. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Joe Daigle; her daughter, Laurie Seavey; a stepson, Stephen Daigle; four brothers, Vincent, Elmer, Lawrence and Sam Davis; and one sister, Ruby Daigle. Friends are invited to call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert, where funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday.
