LIMESTONE – Carroll “Bee” Phair, 63, beloved husband of Jane (Thompson) Phair, died unexpectedly Nov. 15, 2003, at a Caribou hospital. He was born at Presque Isle, March 14, 1940, the son of Burton and Paula (Olson) Phair. A life long Limestone resident, he was a member of the Limestone United Methodist Church. For 16 years, Carroll owned and operated a repair shop on Main Street in Limestone. He also worked for more then 14 years as a mechanic at Loring Air Force Base. Most recently he had been employed at the Maine RS Maintenance Center located at the Loring Development Center. Over the years he was an active in both the Limestone Snowmobile Club and the Limestone Honey Bears Square Dancing Club. He is survived by his wife of 43 years of Limestone; two sons, Kent Phair of Limestone, and Kirk Phair of Limestone; one daughter, Ellen DeChaine of Limestone; a brother, Lloyd Phair of Limestone; a brother-in-law, Vernon Thompson and his wife, Rev. Patricia, of Morrisville, Vt.; three grandchildren, Andrew DeChaine of Limestone, Shayden Shaw of Limestone, Zackery Phair of Limestone; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Gary Phair; and by one sister, Gail Phair. Family and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Limestone United Methodist Church, with Pastor Ellen Morgans assisted by the Rev. Patricia Thompson, officiating. Interment will be at the Advent Cemetery, Limestone. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carroll’s memory may be made to the Limestone United Methodist Church memorial fund. Envelopes will be available at both the church and the funeral home.
