SHAWNEE, Kan. and CARIBOU – Carroll E. Flannery, 68, of Shawnee, Kan. passed away July 26, 2006, at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Carroll was born in Caribou and lived in the Kansas City area since 1972. He worked as a self-employed certified financial planner for 39 years. Carroll was a member of the Antioch Family Worship Center and was active in the men’s group breakfast club. He was a member of the Shawnee planning and zoning committee and was an avid golfer. Carroll was a Harley rider and was a member of the Central Harley HOG Chapter. His father, Carroll J. Flannery; and a brother, Mervale Flannery predeceased him. Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Shawnee, Kan.; a son, Mike and his wife, Lisa, of Shawnee, Kan.; a daughter, Darcy of Carmichael, Calif.; mother, Dorothy Boeckermann of Caribou; brother, Robert Flannery of Henderson, Nev.; and one grandson, Jared Sterling of Colorado. A memorial service was held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Maple Funeral Home, Kansas.
