NEWPORT and DETROIT Gregory Scott Ludden, 42, passed away July 29, 2006, at his parents home in Detroit. He was born April 29, 1964, at Scott Webb Memorial Hospital in Hartland, the son of Frederick and Carole (Brown) Ludden. Greg was a quick witted, funny guy and had many friends. He was willing to help anyone and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Uncle Charlie. Greg always seemed to have the right bait to catch the smallest fish from the trips they made. He also loved to tell about missing the biggest deer in the fall. A 1981 graduate of Nokomis Regional High, Greg was a member of the Maine Air National Guard for 17 years. He also enjoyed working for George Phelps of Gilman Plumbing and Heating, where he had to stop working because of ill health. Greg was in the process and had hoped to get his journeyman’s license under George’s guidance. Greg was also a past member of the Newport Fire Department. In addition to his mom and dad; he is survived by his sister, Denise and husband, Rick Savage, of Caribou; two daughters, Hailey and Jessica Ludden; a son, Gregory L. Ludden; a special stepson, George Curtis; as well as a special companion, Ann Sulinski; two special nieces, Riley and Lauren Savage; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
