BUCKSPORT – Carroll E. Pelletier, 71, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, with his loving family by his side, at his home. He was born a son of Thomas and Anna (Theriault) Pelletier March 30, 1936, in East Millinocket. Carroll was educated in East Millinocket schools. Carroll was very strong in his faith, served as a lecturer and was a communicant of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Carroll was a self taught piano and guitar player learning to play by ear. He enjoyed writing poetry, and had the gift of telling stories. He enjoyed camping, traveling and collected coins. One of Carroll’s greatest loves was to spend time with his family, often playing cards or board games. He retired from St. Regis/Champion Paper Co., after 25 years of service. In addition to his parents, Carroll was predeceased by one son, Charles Pelletier; two sisters, Mary King and Joan King; three brothers, Louis, Henry and Leo Pelletier; also by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Helen Blake. He is survived by and will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Caroline (Blake) Pelletier; his children, Kathy Dunbar and her partner, Mike Harriman, of Bucksport, Rhonda Allen and husband, Tim, of Orrington, Mark Pelletier of Lauderhill, Fla., Mike Pelletier and wife, Mary, of Hobe Sound, Fla., and David Pelletier and wife, Cindy, of East Orland; grandchildren, Keith, Jason, Kevin, Justin, Ashley, Kaylah, Kasey, Meagen, Heather, Rochelle, Bradley and Dylan. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Jeanette Daniels of Millinocket, Arthur Pelletier of Rochester, N.Y., Thomas Pelletier of Millinocket and Florida, Beverly Cooper of Rowley, Mass., Marilyn Willey of Millinocket and Florida and Joseph David Pelletier of Prospect, as well as two aunts, several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather for visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at St. Vincent dePaul Roman Catholic Church, Franklin Street, Bucksport with Father James Plourde, celebrant. A reception to continue the celebration of Carroll’s life will be held after the funeral Mass at St. Vincent dePaul parish hall. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers the family request Mass cards.
