BANGOR – Carroll Eugene Tucker, 73, died July 5, 2006, at a local hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Edward Nason and Lougordie Loretta (Eldridge) Tucker. Carroll retired after 28 years of service from the Bangor Public Works Department and had 11 years of service at BAT, as a bus driver, where he worked until the time of his death. He was a member of the Pine Cone Council Knights of Columbus. Surviving is a sister, Martha London; sister-in-law, Priscilla Tucker, both of Dover-Foxcroft; Virginia Chadbourne Tucker of Bangor; son, Scott W. Tucker and his wife, Kristin Perry and their daughters, Athena and Calliope, all of Quincy, Mass.; stepchildren, Becky (Chadbourne) Caron and her husband, Paul, of Old Town, Theresa Chadbourne of Bangor, Dianna Chadbourne of Brewer, Dwight Chadbourne and his wife, Jimi, of Alabama; 10 stepgrandchildren, 12 great-stepgrandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Catherine (Chadbourne) Grant in 2006; great-grandson, Thomas Lipton Shaw IV; two brothers, Willis and Edward Tucker. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, Chaplain of St. Joseph Hospital, officiating. Friends may call 2 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith, Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor after the service Thursday.
