CASSIE BELL (MCEARCHERN) OTIS EAST MILLINOCKET – Cassie B. Otis 87, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Portland. She was born July 9, 1918, in Madison, the daughter of John and Flora (MacDonald) McEarchern. Cassie grew up and lived in Madison, where she married Donald Otis. She moved to East Millinocket and raised her family there. Later in life, she moved to southern Maine where she enjoyed going for rides by the ocean. Cassie enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Ma and Gram will be remembered sitting in her rocker having her tea and toast. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald in July 2001; two sons, Richard and Alan; two daughters, Frances and Kathleen in 1986; two sisters, Mary and Margaret; a granddaughter, Tracey Dougan; and a son-in-law, Lewis Gordon. Cassie is survived by five sons, Ronald and his wife, Janet, of Medway, Frederick and Donald of Portland, Reginald and his wife, Mary, of Blaine, Robert and his wife, Janice, of North Carolina; three daughters, Ann Gordon of Anson, Margaret Lee and her husband, Emery, of Medway and Shirley Baker of Portland; 28 grandchildren, Jeff, Jimmy, Cathy, Joyce, Darin, Joe, Tim, Tammy, Christian, Brandi, Christine, Robert, Patricia, Amy, Linda, Robert, Hazel, Elizabeth, Reggie, Pauline, Clara Jo, Jessica, Crystal, Lisa, Jodi, Nikki, Missy and Regina; 49 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Madison.
