OLD TOWN – Catherine C. MacEacharn, 93, went to be with the Lord, Dec. 6, 2007. She was born July 27, 1914, in Old Town, the ninth of Harry and Charlotte (Blakemore) Cust’s 11 children. Catherine graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 1932. She went on to work as a secretary at Old Town School Department and later at the University of Maine, until her retirement in 1984. Catherine enjoyed daily visits with her brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew MacEacharn; eight brothers, Fred, Kenneth, George, Ralph, Harlan, Robert, Harold and Vernon; and one sister, Mae Cust. Catherine will be greatly missed by her sister, Ruth Woodsum of Veazie; caregiver and niece, Carolyn Cust; great-niece, Rhonda Carter; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. There will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Augusta.
