PRESQUE ISLE – Madelyn E. Longo, 101, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at a Presque Isle nursing home. Madelyn was born June 4, 1906, in Caribou, daughter of Ivory “Tim” and Priscilla (Monteith) Harmon, second eldest of 15 children. Madelyn worked primarily as a waitress in various area restaurants. Madelyn was predeceased by brothers, George Willis, Roscoe, Frank Edward, John Florida, Grover Lee, Edward W., Archie Leopold, Brydon Arnold and Edgar; and sisters, Pearl Etta (Beveridge), Maude Myrtle (Nadeau) and Katherine Harmon. Madelyn is survived by sisters, Mabel Evelyn (Doody) and Kathleen Dorothy (Brinkman), both of Lakeland, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
