NEW LIMERICK – Cecil E. King, 64, died Aug. 14, 2008, with his family and friends by his side at home. He was born May 25, 1944, in Houlton, son of Perley and Edna (Levesque) King. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Tate & Lyle. Cecil enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping, and especially his grandchildren. In addition to his mother of Houlton, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara (Varney) King of New Limerick; three children, Karen King of Amity, Kelly King and Kevin King, both of Houlton, two grandchildren, Desiree and Dynel Shannon; and a special aunt, Ella Welton. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Al Levesque. The family sends a special thank you to Dick and Jane Mitchell, Sandy and Jerry Merritt, Bob and Michelle King, and Hospice of Aroostook. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating.
