ELLSWORTH – Celeste M. Cote, 49, died Aug. 7, 2007, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born June 23, 1958, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Raymond and Ethel (Hardison) Grindle. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and sister with a heart of gold. She brought many laughs to many people. She is survived by her three sons, Jerimy Grindle of Bangor, Paul Cote and his wife, Jennifer, and Scott Cote, all of Ellsworth; one daughter, Danielle Payne of Fox Lake, Wis.; five grandchildren, Haley, Lucas, Logan, Elizabeth, and Jacob; her mother, Ethel Surles of Okeechobee, Fla.; three sisters, Cheryle Ann Dyer of Trenton, Cathye Folsom of Okeechobee, Fla., and Candyce Wilbur and her husband, Allen, of Eastbrook; one brother, Raymond R. Grindle of Aurora; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, Raymond, she was predeceased by a stepfather, John Surles; and a brother, Ross Alan Grindle.
