MAPLETON and ASHLAND Celina M. Page, 89, died Feb. 4, 2006, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Sept. 15, 1916, in Sheridan, the daughter of Peter and Delina (Beaulieu) Carney. She spent most of her life in Ashland, except for the past 16 years as a resident of Maple Tree Estates, Mapleton. Celina was a retired homemaker and spent many joyous years working beside her husband, Wesley Page on their family farm. She was very talented and had many hobbies. She loved gardening, canning and cherished the flowers she grew. She made beautiful crafts while sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was a wonderful cook and loved feeding her company when they came to visit, especially her molasses cookies, baked beans and hot rolls. Celina is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Stephenson and her husband, Clifton, of Presque Isle; one son, Jefferson Page and his partner, Gloria Russell, of Ashland; a foster daughter, Sharon Dubay and her husband, Eddie, of Presque Isle; nine grandchildren, Vickie Huston of San Diego, Calif., Randy Stephenson of Mapleton, Carmen Amero, Shawna Page, Linda Page, Shirley Caron and Ed Dubay, all of Presque Isle, Michelle Page of Florida and Wesley Page of Ashland; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Cassie Long of Mapleton; several nieces and nephews; including special nieces, Shiela Thayer, Jackie McKee and Bonnie Easler. She was predeceased by her husband, Wesley Page in 1989; a daughter, Shirley in 1941; and by a son, Franklin in 1995. Relatives and friends may call 10 a.m. Tuesday, until time of service, at the Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Nathan Gardiner, officiating. Spring interment will be in the St. Mark Cemetery.
