WEST GARDINER – Chadwick Gilley MacMaster, 16, of the Benson Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at the Maine Medical Center, Portland, where he had been a patient for the past 10 weeks. Chad was born Aug. 4, 1990, in Augusta, a son of Douglas C. and Dawn S. Gilley MacMaster. He was a member of the freshman class of Gardiner Area High School. Chad was a quiet person with a deep appreciation for and commitment to his friends. His passion was skateboarding, and he loved music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his parents of West Gardiner; his brother, Douglas E. MacMaster of West Gardiner; maternal grandparents, Earl and Sharon Gilley of West Gardiner; paternal grandparents, Clyde and Betty MacMaster of South Gardiner; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A gathering in celebration of Chad’s life will be held 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the home of Mary-Ann MacMaster, 176 Spears Corner Road, West Gardiner. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects at that time.
