VEAZIE – Charles Andrew Clement, 94, died Jan. 13, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 5, 1911, in Orono, the son of Dennis and Minnie (Alexander) Clement. Charles worked at several odd jobs during the depression until he got a job at Eastern Fine Paper Company until he retired in 1968. He then worked at Dow Air Force Base for five years. Charles enjoyed tinkering and fixing things with the many tools that he had as well as many great times at camp on Williams Pond. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and will be dearly missed. Charles was predeceased by his loving wife of 74 years, Elizabeth Clement, on Jan. 10, 2005, and a grandson James Clement. He is survived by two sons, Andy Clement, and wife, Victoria, of San Diego, Calif., Craig Clement, and wife, Serean, of Brewer; five grandchildren, Gary, Sandy, Pam, and Kim, of San Diego, Calif., Randy of Pennsylvania; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Elizabeth and Charles Clement will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with David Morrison officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in the spring at Fairview Cemetery, Veazie.
