CALAIS – Charles Cody Damon, 40, died unexpectedly June 9, 2005, in Baring. He was born Dec. 12, 1964, in St. Stephen, N.B., Canada, son of the late Howard C. and Mary Evelyn (Cody) Damon. Charles graduated from Calais High School in 1983. He was employed by Thos. DiCenzo Co. for many years and became well known for his crane operating skills. Charles was later employed by Cianbro Construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Brian and James Damon. Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer M. Beers-Damon; a son, Jeremy C. Beers; two sisters, Gwen Damon of Boston, Mass., and Terri Ryan of Calais; and a brother, Mark A. Damon of Wiscasset. He will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. Prayers will be recited by The Very Rev. Mark Nolette 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calais Cemetery.
