MASARDIS – Charles D. Robinson, 83, died Jan. 29, 2005, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Aug. 18, 1921, in Masardis, the son of Leon and Mildred (Kinney) Robinson. He attended and graduated from local schools and was an Army veteran of World War II. Charles was a life member of the VFW Le-Blanc-Junkins Post 9699 of Ashland and also a life member of the Pioneer Masonic Lodge No. 72, AF & AM of Ashland. He was employed by the Maine Forestry Service as a pilot for 38 years. He is survived by one son, Neil Robinson of Masardis; one daughter, Tammy Robinson of Portage Lake; one brother, Steve Robinson of Florida; two grandsons, Charles Robinson and Jesse Robinson; one great-grandson, Weston Robinson. He was predeceased by one son, Lendon Robinson in 1987. Relatives and friends may call from 2:30 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Patricia Ferguson officiating. Spring interment will be in the Masardis Municipal Cemetery.
