QUAKERTOWN, Pa., and MILLTOWN, New Brunswick – Charles F. Cody, 69, died April 17, 2007, at a Quakertown, Pa., hospital. He was born Oct. 8, 1937, in Milltown, New Brunswick, son of the late James and Lillian (Walmsley) Cody. Charles was a chef for Wagner & Sons, Boston, before transferring to Pennsylvania to help open and manage a branch in Ivyland, Pa. He was a member of the Quakertown Moose Lodge. Charles was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Quakertown American Legion Post No. 242. He was predeceased by his companion, Marian Miller; a sister, Evelyn Damon and her husband, Howard; and a brother, James Thomas Cody. Surviving are his brother, John Cody and wife, Frances, of Cary; two sisters, Lillian Murphy and Jean Comeau and her husband, Wilfred, both of St. Stephen; a sister-in-law, Isabelle Cody of Sydney, Nova Scotia; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A funeral will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held after at Calais Cemetery.
