MILLINOCKET – Charles H. Berry, 61, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2005, at a local healthcare facility. He was born Feb. 26, 1944, in Rumford, the son of Adoniram and Thelma (Marble) Berry. Charles graduated from Leavitt Institute and the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Civil Engineering. Charles worked as a civil engineer at Great Northern Paper Company until 2003. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Gretchen (Reid) Berry of Millinocket; and their three daughters, Julia Berry of Las Cruces, N.M., Angela Berry of Millinocket, and Melissa Berry of Belmont, N.H.; he is also survived by his children, Deane Berry, Jacqueline Dyer, and Bridgette Lawrence; five sisters, Marilynn Rumley of Brookline, Mass., Lois and her husband, Bernard Hathaway, of Leeds, Susan and her husband, Paul Nouros, of Encino, Calif., Arlene and her husband, Morrill Nason, and Kathleen Berry, both of Hartford; five grandchildren, James, Alex, Anthony, Benjamin, and Annalise; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Beryl Hayden. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2005 at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, with the Rev. Lyn Bradley, officiating.
