EAST MILLINOCKET and EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – Charles L. A. “Woody” Woodmancy, 46, entered into eternal rest July 1, 2006, after a long battle with colon cancer. Chuck was born Sept. 29, 1959, in East Hartford, Conn., the son of Charles L. and Nancy Woodmancy. He moved to Maine about 121/2 years ago. Chuck loved the outdoors; he enjoyed fishing and hunting, but fishing was his passion. He was also an avid NASCAR fan, never missing a race. His favorite driver was Tony Stewart. He is survived by his parents of Abbot, formerly of East Hartford, Conn.; his wife of eight and a half years, Rose (Dixon) Woodmancy; three brothers, Darrin and his wife, Judy, of Marlborough, Conn., Keith and his wife, Joan, of Enfield, Conn., Christopher and his wife, Erin, of East Hartford, Conn.; four very special nieces, Amanda and Sarahanne of Enfield, Conn., Rachel and Anna of Marlborough, Conn.; two uncles, Norman Parent of Hudson, Fla. and Roland and his wife, Ann Marie, of Glastonbury, Conn.; two stepchildren, Amy and her husband, O.J. Porter; and a special stepgrandchild, Allyssa; also Richard Getchell of Wichita, Kan.; and a special family friend, Ken Smith of Hudson, Fla. Chuck also leaves many good friends in Connecticut and in Maine and will be missed by everyone. There will be no calling hours. Friends and family will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 7, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Sangerville, with the Rev. Fr. James Robichaud officiating. Burial will be in the Blanchard Cemetery, Davidson Road, Abbot. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to Penobscot Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, P.O.
