ANSON – Freda E. Hayden, 91, died Friday, June 20, 2006, at Somerset Rehab and Living Center in Bingham. She was born July 18, 1914, the daughter of Charles Davis and Salona Pikes. Freda married Orin L. Hayden Aug. 2, 1932, in Presque Isle. She was a 50-year member of the National Grange. Her pastimes included playing beano, singing karaoke, and knitting. She also enjoyed her collection of antique dolls. She was predeceased by her husband, Orin L. Hayden; and her two sons, Gerald E. Hayden and Ralph “Butch” Hayden. Freda is survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Hayden and his wife, Pauline, of Starks, Ralph Hayden Jr. of New Hampshire, David Hayden of Connecticut, Philip Hayden of Wyoming, Patrick Hayden of Sidney, Jeffery Hayden of Anson, Cathy Hayden and Peter Ward of Embden, Wendy Boynton and her husband, Michael, of Madison, Kathy Casey and Patricia Warren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Philip Hayden of Presque Isle; a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Hayden of Starks; a special friend, Virginia Hayden of North Anson; as well as many friends at Parkwoods Apartments. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Athearn Cemetery, Anson, with the Rev. Janice Quimby officiating. Arrangements are by Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison.
