VEAZIE – Charles T. “Tom” Lawrence, 79, husband of the late Helen A. (Shinnick) Lawrence, died peacefully Dec. 29, 2006, in Bangor. He was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Orrington, the son of Charles S. and M. Jane (Connolly) Lawrence. Tom served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was retired from the Maine Air National Guard with more than 30 years of service. He was a hard worker who enjoyed his career working in the printing trade in the Bangor area. He was a dedicated family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Devoutly religious, Tom was a communicant of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, who missed very few masses, which gave him much consolation and joy. As a result of his strong faith, he was an excellent role model for his family. Surviving are three children, Brian Lawrence, Mary Davis and Nancy Price and her husband, Jeff; three special grandchildren, who will sadly miss him, Alexander Price, Gabrielle Price and Anna Davis; and two sisters, Agnes Lawrence and Janet McCann. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, Frederick and Richard Lawrence. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, celebrant. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. A reception will be held after the burial. Arrangements by Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer.
